Going to Laoag, Ilocos Norte? Stay here! Just hope that the gasoline station on its driveway doesn’t catch on fire and that lightning won’t strike the buri roof but what are the odds for those to happen?

Don't Research for Rooms at Work
I had nothing to do at work last December 24 so instead of disturbing my officemates I opted to surf the net and look for hotels in Vigan and Laoag. I found a great place in Vigan but my dad said we should stay in Laoag, unfortunately only 3 hotels keep showing up in my browser. Fort Ilocandia was way out of our budget so I had to choose between Northview Hotel and Palazzo de Laoag.

going way up North
My family has been planning for years to visit the UNESCO Heritage Town of Vigan in Ilocos Sur and Laoag in Ilocos Norte. Every time my parents say we’ll drive up North it never materializes but finally we’re going! There’s no backing out now since I already made a down payment for the hotel - it’s a strategy :P
