Chronicling the travel memories, musings, and desires of a tropical city girl out to see the world one backpack at a time.
I Likey

This band (there’s really 4 of them) was playing some really good music, which we heard as we exited one of the nearby bars and walked towards a convenience store. After our mini-grocery shopping, we stood outside the bar where they were playing…and even sat down at their al fresco area and listened some more. When we finally decided to have one last round of drinks and got settled inside, the band said it was their last song! We haven’t even ordered our drinks yet and they were done playing! We were contemplating to leave or not because we were already seated and had our menus with a waiter waiting on the side. We still wanted one drink so I went up to them asking if they could play one more song. The singer looked at the guitarist and had this I-don’t-know-what-to-do-look. I said “Just one more song, please?” I heard the familiar Filipino accent and asked if they’re Filipinos. And they were! I said we really came into the bar because of them and it’d be sad if they can’t play one more song. I also have a vague memory of bringing up my friend’s birthday LOL but I’m not sure on that. Anyhow, one guy pulled out and went straight for stage left but these three gave in and played not one requested Coldplay song, but TWO! YAY!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I forgot their names. I actually can’t remember if I did ask their names…hmmm. Oh well :( Really talented though! I hope they’re treated well there…Mabuhay kayo
