Every time I come home I either go to the places that I’m familiar with or my old time faves. As much as I want to try the new places, I either don’t want to look for places that would be worth visiting or I just can’t fit them in my “sched.” I promised my brother that we’d eat out today but it has to be at a place I’ve never ate at before. And it has to be really good food. He took me - more like I took us, to this place he & his friends frequent.
World, meet the Black Angus burger with fries at Charlie’s Grind and Grill. I know the photo does not really show the beef and do much justice - I used my brother’s camera phone, but it’s literally mouth watering. If the spots of oil on the cheese and tomato will not make you think how much more juicy is that 1/4 lb. slab of black angus beef inside, then I think I should go back and take a more decent photo showing the whole shebang. hahaha. It’s one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life. Srsly. I’ve had In N’ Out, SONIC Drive-in Burgers, and all those gourmet burgers at restaurants and hotels, but this is really up there. Way up there. Beef juice drippings or sebo would even drop on my fries when I would take bites. And for the pessimists, call it oil or whatever you want, it was still good! ha! They have a smaller version of it too, the angus slider. My Mom had that. I noticed one couple in the resto cut their burger in half and shared a basket of buffalo wings. Brother says their buffalo wings are famous, but I’m not a fan of eating chicken wings - too much effort for so little meat hehe.
So glad I tried something new today :D
